UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance partners with Namirembe Diocese26 July 2022

Tuesday 26 July stands as a landmark on the UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance 2022 calendar as the day on which a partnership was signed with Namirembe Diocese at the diocese gardens. The partnership in question will see all church members under Namirembe diocese have access to sign up for Group Family Protection cover from their respective churches.

Speaking at the launch of the partnership, the acting Managing Director, UAP Old Mutual Life Assurance, Tonny Mudoola highlighted that with the 177 years that UAP Old Mutual has in transforming lives on the African continent, the partnership will give both parties a platform on which lives of many Ugandans would be transformed. He further mentioned that the church is a go to place for many believers during times of grief so with the Group Family protection product extended to the church, the church will be in position to fully support the members who sign up for the product.

The Guest of honor at the launch who is the bishop of the diocese, Rt. Rev Wilberforce Kityo Luwalira, thanked the team from UAP Old mutual for coming out to sensitize the public on insurance through partnering with the church. He further emphasized that he has been a beneficiary of UAP Old Mutual’s sure deal investment plan after him and his wife had their policies well administered and benefits paid earlier this year. ‘Insurance is good and we as a church have the capacity to educate our people on how to access and better benefit from it’ he said.
